Why This Tool Exists

The Problem

Architects using Rhino for design must manually rebuild geometry in Revit for BIM coordination, losing design intent and duplicating work across platforms. Complex Rhino designs cannot be easily transferred to Revit with structural meaning, materials, and parameters intact, requiring time-consuming re-modeling and causing model synchronization issues across disciplines.

The Solution

Exports Rhino geometry as BIM objects with assigned properties directly into Revit families or IFC files. Preserves materials, parameters, and hierarchical structure. Supports import of IFC models into Rhino as editable geometry with property sets. Enables bidirectional coordination between Rhino design and Revit construction modeling workflows.

Input
What it needs
Required:Rhinoceros model, BIM object definitions
Optional:Grasshopper scripts, Custom parameters, Material assignments, Level references, Family templates
Formats:3dm (Rhino native), IFC 2x3, IFC 4, Revit family files
Output
What you get
Format:BIM model exports and enriched geometry files
Fields:Revit family instances with geometry and parameters, IFC-compliant objects with property sets and classifications, Material and texture assignments, Custom parameters and properties, Hierarchical model structure, Level/storey associations, Adaptive component placements
Algorithm
How it works
Model:Geometric transformation and BIM data mapping engine (proprietary)
