Attentive.ai (Beam AI)
AI takeoff platform that reads PDF construction drawings (architectural, structural, civil, and MEP sheets) and extracts trade-specific quantities across 15+ trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, concrete, steel, paving, and landscaping. Offered as a self-service mode (claimed ~10-minute turnaround, 90% feature-capture accuracy) or a QA-reviewed "done-for-you" service (24-72 hour turnaround, claimed accuracy within ±1% of in-house takeoffs). Operated by Attentive.ai, which also sells a separate per-property takeoff product for landscaping/paving/snow field services (formerly branded Automeasure) and has recently launched a BIM CoPilot modeling service.
Concrete Cost Estimator
Comprehensive cost estimation tool for concrete projects that calculates material, labor, delivery, reinforcement, and site prep costs. Supports multiple project types (slabs, walls, footings, decorative), regional pricing variations, and provides detailed cost breakdown with contingency planning.
Concrete Curing Time Calculator
Free web-based calculator that estimates concrete strength development and cure timing based on ACI 209R-92 maturity curves. Accounts for temperature, humidity, slab thickness, concrete type (Portland, High-Early-Strength, Rapid-Set), and provides real-time strength predictions from 1-28 days. Follows ACI 318 and ASTM C31 standards for curing requirements.
Concrete Volume Calculator (Stairs)
Free web-based calculator that estimates concrete volume required for staircase construction. Supports multiple calculation methods: waist slab (for angled stairs with throat depth), rectangle method (for simplified step-by-step estimation), and inclined slab method. Outputs results in cubic yards, cubic feet, and cubic meters with waste factor adjustments.
Mosaic
A hybrid construction-and-software company that self-performs general contracting for large-scale (50+ home) build-to-rent residential communities, using its proprietary "Mosaic Hub" platform to digitize construction plans and automate subcontractor contracting, scheduling, and payment. It is not a software product licensed to outside firms as of this research date — Mosaic uses the platform internally to run its own construction operations.
OpenDrawing
Computer-vision and OCR platform that reads uploaded electrical single-line diagrams, P&ID schematics, riser diagrams, and panel schedules — including scanned or handwritten legacy drawings — automatically detecting, counting, and labeling components, then mapping them to part numbers to produce a structured, ERP-ready bill of materials. Engineers review every AI-labeled component overlaid on the source diagram and can relabel or remove detections before export. Backed by Techstars (Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator, Fall 2025 cohort).
Planera
Cloud-based critical path method (CPM) scheduling platform that replaces Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project with a visual, drag-and-drop canvas, real-time field updates, and an AI assistant ("Manny") that answers natural-language questions about float, logic ties, and what-if scenarios.
Rudus
AI platform that reads structural PDF plan sets and auto-detects concrete elements (footings, walls, columns, slabs), expanding each into priced concrete, formwork, and rebar line items for concrete subcontractor estimators. Y Combinator-backed (Summer 2026 / S26 batch); founded 2026 by ex-Amazon and ex-Airbnb engineers, currently a 2-person team.
Sablono
A Berlin-based digital construction management platform that lets project teams break a baseline schedule into a granular, trackable production plan (up to 100,000+ activities per project), then tracks real-time progress, quality checklist completion, and cost-linked status against that plan from mobile devices on site. Positioned as a "Construction Execution Platform" for large, complex builds rather than a general project-management or document-control tool.
Sensera
Sensera Systems makes solar-powered, cellular-connected construction cameras (fixed, PTZ, and dedicated security models) paired with SiteCloud, an AI software platform that scans captured jobsite images and video to flag safety hazards aligned to the OSHA Focus Four, track PPE and equipment, generate automated week-over-week progress summaries, and make archived footage searchable by event.
Siteline
A San Francisco-based construction fintech platform, launched in 2019 as the first billing software built specifically for trade subcontractors. It centralizes payment application (pay app) generation, lien waiver collection, compliance-document tracking, and accounts-receivable reporting so subcontractor billing teams can produce general-contractor-specific paperwork and track collections from one place instead of spreadsheets and email.
STACK Construction Technologies
Cloud construction software combining digital quantity takeoff and estimating (Takeoff & Estimate) with field collaboration, document control, and daily reporting for the build phase (Build & Operate). Floor Plan AI auto-detects doors, windows, rooms, and walls to generate a baseline takeoff, and STACK Assist is a chat-based AI assistant that answers plan-specific questions with sheet references. Founded 2008 as Cloud Takeoff; rebranded to STACK Construction Technologies.
XBuild
XBuild is an AI estimating platform for residential trade contractors — launched first for roofing — where users describe a project via an AI chat interface, or import measurement reports (EagleView, GAF QuickScope, Hover, Roofr) and jobsite photos, and the platform generates a standardized, editable estimate and a branded, shareable proposal (insurance-ready or retail Good/Better/Best options) with e-signature and Stripe-based deposit collection.
