The formula

Net units = area × verified units/m² + additional scheduled units.
Allowance quantity = ceil(net units × (1 + allowance/100)).
Full packs = ceil(allowance quantity ÷ units per pack).
Pack-rounded units = full packs × units per pack.

Worked example

Example
A 10 m² schedule item at a verified 60 units/m² gives 600 net units. A 5% allowance gives 630 units. With 500 units per pack, the order is two full packs representing 1,000 units.

  • Purpose-made specials and differently priced units should remain separate schedule items rather than being converted to standard-unit equivalents without a documented basis.
