Why This Tool Exists
Architecture and construction teams lack accessible tools to assess whole-life carbon impact during early design phases when decisions have the greatest influence on project emissions. Manual carbon calculations are time-consuming, rely on incomplete data, and don't help teams identify the highest-impact reduction strategies when design flexibility is greatest.
C.Scale uses machine learning and regionally-specific carbon databases to deliver rapid carbon assessments from concept through construction. Teams input basic project parameters (type, size, structural system, location) and receive embodied, operational, and landscape carbon budgets with ranked reduction strategies. Modeling resolution increases as design details emerge, allowing teams to refine carbon decisions and track impact throughout the project lifecycle.
