The Problem

Manual construction layout and staking is slow and labor-intensive: traditional survey crews mark roughly 200-450 points per day by hand, becoming a bottleneck on large solar farms and earthworks projects that require staking tens of thousands of coordinates across hundreds of acres.

The Solution

CivDot/CivDot+/CivDot Mini are unmanned ground robots that use dual RTK GNSS positioning and an IMU for tilt correction to autonomously drive to coordinates loaded from a CSV or DXF file, marking each point with paint, a stake, or a laser at up to 1/10'-3/100' accuracy and up to 3,000 points/day with a single operator instead of a multi-person survey crew. CivNav mounts a sensor unit on skid steers/telehandlers and uses tablet-guided, AI-assisted navigation to direct operators to drop color-coded piles/modules from a site blueprint at up to 2-inch accuracy, generating automated productivity reports.
