The Problem

Underground utility strikes happen roughly every 60 seconds in the U.S., and existing utility records routinely miss buried lines — in a third-party pilot with VINCI Construction and GRDF, Exodigo located 57% more utility lines at a Paris-area test site than existing records showed. Traditional subsurface utility engineering relies on intrusive potholing and single-sensor locating, which is slow, disruptive to sites, and still leaves gaps that surface as mid-construction redesigns, change orders, and schedule delays once excavation hits an unmapped line.

The Solution

Exodigo scans a site with a multi-sensor array — multi-channel ground-penetrating radar, time/frequency-domain electromagnetic induction, magnetic gradiometry, and other geophysical sensors mounted on carts, drones, or vehicles — then fuses the resulting signals in the cloud using AI models that run physics-based simulations to predict the location, depth, and type of buried utilities, foundations, and geotechnical features. Geophysicists and civil engineers review the AI output before delivery, and results are packaged as engineering-grade 2D/3D maps and digital twins, with newer "AI Engineering" (utility/HDD design, 2D-to-3D transformation) and utility relocation cost-estimation services layered on top of the core scanning product.
