Holmes
Automated Revit element visibility troubleshooting
Revit plugin that performs automated tests to diagnose why elements are hidden in specific views, helping users find missing elements with one click.
Why This Tool Exists
Revit users spend significant time manually troubleshooting why elements mysteriously disappear from specific views. With Revit's 30+ visibility controls (filters, worksets, view range, etc.), identifying the root cause can take hours of investigation.
Holmes automatically performs 13 diagnostic tests to identify why elements are hidden in views. Users simply select the missing element in any visible view, click Holmes, and receive a detailed report showing which views have issues and the specific reasons for visibility problems.
