Imerso
AI reality-capture vs. BIM comparison for construction quality control
Cloud platform that automatically compares laser-scanned as-built site conditions against BIM models and project schedules, flagging deviations, clashes, and progress status with proprietary AI, and can push verified as-built updates back into the BIM model.
Why This Tool Exists
Construction teams historically verify built conditions against BIM plans and schedules through manual site walks and spot-checks, a slow and inconsistent process that typically surfaces deviations, coordination clashes, and quality issues only weeks after they occur, once they are costly to fix. Producing accurate as-built documentation for handover from those manual checks is similarly labor-intensive.
Imerso ingests laser scans (from tripod or SLAM/handheld scanners) captured during routine site walks and automatically compares the resulting point cloud against the BIM model and, via a Bentley Synchro 4D integration, the project schedule. Site Checker flags each modeled element with a color-coded status (built to spec, off-tolerance, or missing) within roughly 1-3 hours of upload; Clash Finder surfaces new coordination conflicts introduced by field conditions; and BIM Fixer can auto-update the BIM model to match verified as-built conditions to speed up handover documentation.
