The Problem

Surveyors, engineers, and GIS teams mapping construction sites, mines, and infrastructure corridors have historically relied on slower ground-based survey methods or multirotor drones with limited coverage per flight and payload/sensor flexibility, making large-site, high-accuracy mapping time-consuming.

The Solution

Wingtra's tailsitter VTOL drones take off and land vertically like a multirotor but fly like a fixed-wing aircraft in between, covering more area per flight (up to 460 ha at 120m altitude) with swappable RGB, LiDAR, and multispectral sensors and PPK-based absolute accuracy down to 3 cm; WingtraPilot plans and manages the flight, and WingtraCLOUD processes and shares the resulting survey data.
