Why This Tool Exists

The Problem

Architects and visualization professionals struggle to produce photorealistic renderings that accurately represent design intent for client presentations and competitions. Traditional rendering engines require complex setup, long render times, and are difficult to optimize for different materials and lighting scenarios.

The Solution

Arnold uses unbiased Monte Carlo path tracing to automatically produce physically accurate renders without extensive manual tweaking. Supports both CPU and GPU rendering for flexibility, includes physically-based material system (Standard Surface shader), and provides volumetric rendering for complex effects like smoke and fog. Integrates seamlessly into existing 3D workflows via plugins for Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, and Houdini.
