Why This Tool Exists
Calculating the embodied-carbon Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of a building project across its full value chain (developers, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers) has historically been a slow, specialist-only exercise, making it hard for teams to compare design alternatives on carbon impact early enough to influence decisions, and to keep pace with tightening regulatory reporting requirements like France's RE2020.
Vizcab connects to BIM tools, Revit, and Excel to pull project material and design data, then uses a patented (EPFL-licensed) method to generate design alternatives and rank them by their contribution to carbon and performance objectives, producing LCA reports and dashboards that track emissions over a project's lifecycle for both design decision-making and regulatory compliance reporting.
